This course covers how to approach energy management in a systematic manner. An Mpact energy management standard is proposed, and a more complete ISO 50 001 Energy Management System is covered. Effective energy management is essential to ensure the business protects itself against potential harm and optimises potential opportunities.
Through this course, you will learn how to better manage energy and consequently reduce greenhouse gas emissions at your site, check compliance against the system, improve the system and tailor it to your site during implementation, reduce costs for energy, and gain management commitment and understanding of the system.
This course has no prerequisites, however Energy Management is a vital component to Environmental Management, and thus students with limited experience in Environmental Management may want to take that course as a complementary course.
