Hot works is the leading cause of industrial fires internationally and is a major concern for the insurance industry. So much so that Mpact’s insurers will not cover a fire claim caused by hot works when the people involved have not been trained in in this procedure. It is therefore imperative that all employees and contractors who are involved in hot works undergo this training and pass as competent.
